Longueville House and Ballyhass Lakes in the beautiful Blackwater Valley of North Cork have teamed up together to provide you with the perfect balance of challenge, fun and luxurious leisure.

Ballyhass Lakes, a superb location only a ten-minute drive away from Longueville House, set in the heart of North Cork. Famous for quality outdoor multi activities set on a 36 acre site with two crystal clear spring water lakes.
Your groups adventure day will generally consist of four different activities. These can be chosen from over 15 different activities available on site.
Included in the programme will be at least one water sport either kayaking or raft building. This is usually combined with rock climbing or abseiling. The high ropes and low ropes courses consisting of Jacobs’s ladder and gladiator course, along with all weather archery range and have universal appeal.
The activities here are delivered in a manner that works very well for people of all ages and abilities. Instructors are well accustomed to dealing with various groups.
For older participants, rest assured, opt for a less daring choice.
Your day will start between 10am and 11am and run onto 4pm or 5pm respectively. This allows for 90 mins per activity and a 30 min snack lunch break. A small shop is available on site or outside catering can be arranged at an additional cost. Prices start from €10 to €15 per person depending on menu chosen. All you need to bring is a towel, swimsuit, and spare pair of shoes. All safety equipment will be provided including harnesses, lifejackets and helmets.

Meanwhile at the end of your adventerous and energetic day Longueville House awaits, and only a ten-minute drive away! Activity gives way to a sophisticated, warm atmosphere in which exquisite dining takes centre stage. Returning to Longueville just feels like coming home. Longueville is a Georgian 20-bedroom country house offering a very warm welcome, with open log fires, comfortable bedrooms with modern bathrooms.
Beautifully maintained over many years and generously proportioned, it’s sumptuous, inviting and lived-in. The atmosphere of Longueville is able to content the sophisticated patron while at the same time being endearingly rural.
The Presidents’ Restaurant is at the heart of Longueville, and the menu comes straight from the estate’s farm and walled garden. There’s fresh salmon from the Blackwater river; meat and game from the farm. Vegetables and herbs come from the walled kitchen garden. Only the extensive New and Old World wine list is drawn from farther afield. Sample some of our house artisan cider, our house distilled brandy or our garden berry liqueurs all made on-site along with a range of Artisan Food items for you to take away as thoughtful gifts or for your store cupboard.
