The Chinese Room borrows its name from a custom that was practiced in the Big Houses back in the 18th century. Each year the occupants of the big house travelled to Europe and further afield on the grand tour. Souveniers and furnishings from these visited countries were collected and upon returning home were used to decorate a nominated room in the chosen style...hence The Chinese Room.
The Presidents' Room
The Presidents' Room is truly at the heart of Longueville and can be booked by a group for a private dining occasion seating from 25 Guests to 40 Guests.
The Turner Room
This room is linked to The Presidents' Room and can comfortably accommodate private group gatherings from 50 Guests to 76 Guests.
Longueville House is open for traditional Sunday luncheon every week. We offer hot & cold appetiser buffet, main course roast special followed by a dessert buffet. A feast for the eyes and stomach!
