"Many thanks again for our wedding day on the 5th October. It turned out to be exactly the day we were hoping it to be. Which was totally down to yourselves there at Longueville, as we didn't do much organising on it really!
All the guests loved the House, the surroundings, and all commented on the quality of the meal and the friendly staff in Longueville. What photos we have seen so far featuring the house and surroundings look amazing.
From the two of us, thanks so much for your attention to detail and the work that you put in to really making our day special for us."

“From the very first minute we fell in love with the magic of Longueville and knew it was where we wanted to get married. Even on a cold & dark night in the depths of Winter the house was so welcoming, especially the fab drawing room with the roaring fire.
Luckily however our wedding happened to be during the 2013 heat wave which made it even more special. Having the drinks reception and speeches outside with the stunning backdrop was an added bonus…all accompanied by the delicious canapés and a glass or two of bubbly!
Dealing with Evelyn in the run up to the wedding made everything so much easier and stress free…but we couldn't have asked more from every single member of staff, especially Gabor & Barbara.
The day itself was everything we could have wished for, and more…the food was amazing, the setting was stunning, the conservatory looked absolutely magical and the dance floor downstairs was such a great venue for the after party.
Wish we could do it all over again, and would 100% recommend it to others for their special day!”.

"We recently got married & had our reception at Longueville House. It is such an amazing location with the most spectacular scenery. The rolling green fields and huge old oak trees surround this beautiful house. The interior is as amazing as the exterior. The conservatory was magical as dusk set in. The food for our wedding was sublime. The flavours, freshness, care and attention was commented on by all who attended and indeed people are still raving about the food! The monkfish was the nicest I have ever eaten. The canapés were exquisite, especially the tempura prawns. The creme brûlée was to die for and was complimented perfectly with the sharp raspberry sorbet. Extra portions were brought out at dinner and everyone was overwhelmed by the 'seconds' and abundance of food.
The staff here in Longueville are truly amazing. Nothing was too much trouble on the lead up to our big day and the service over dinner was the best I have ever received. It would put many of our 5 star hotels to shame. Every detail was over seen by Gabor and Evelyn and I knew we would not be disappointed. This duo are a real asset to Longueville. Well done! The Drawing Room was the centre of attention as our guests gasped at the enormous log fire. Downstairs for dancing the room was perfect for our size wedding. An amazing location that has it all. I could not recommend Longueville highly enough. A hidden gem in the rolling countryside of Co Cork with exceptional staff and food. Míle buîochas, you made our dreams come true".

"Having visited Longueville House many times, I immediately knew it was the perfect destination for my wedding. I contacted the excellent team at Longueville and asked them if they would accommodate me in putting a stonking big marquee in the middle of the grounds. They agreed to host their first ever marquee wedding and were with me every step of the way in navigating the logistical demands of hosting a marquee wedding.
One of the special memories of my wedding day was waking up to see all the additional floral arrangements which Longueville had surprised me by placing throughout the house and grounds using flowers from their gardens.
We are based in London and the wedding party was very international with a lot of foreign guests and they were all totally charmed by the beautiful, authentic feel of Longueville which feels like a genuine Irish country house, lived in by generations of the same family. The open-air drinks reception with a traditional Irish band and plenty of Guinness in particular went down a treat!
The food was a highlight of the day and of an exceptionally high standard. This was paired with delicious wines and Longueville made brandy, cider and delicious blackberry liquor. The hog roast held the next day was just as delicious.
Apart from the beautiful house and stunning location, the accommodating and professional team are a huge plus in having a wedding at Longueville. I had many and complex demands and the team definitely exceeded my expectations and made my wedding a fun and (relatively!) stress-free experience".

"I got married in Longueville recently and can't recommend the hotel enough. Longueville is a beautiful country house, with log fires, home-made cider and brandy, a Victorian conservatory, and food that's sourced from and cooked on the farm. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a wedding venue, it's magical. On a sunny day, you could have drinks outside overlooking the castle in the distance and green fields. I'm a pessimist, and planned for rain (it being Ireland). Sure enough, the day was pretty wet. But the venue still looked magical, there was space for everyone, fires felt cosy, and the photos round the courtyard and house looked stunning! The conservatory, when lit up with candles, and set with flowers, looks absolutely magical. Then afterwards, downstairs to what used to be the cellars for the perfect party venue and dance floor. If you want to avoid your standard IKEA looking function room with coloured uplighting, this is the place for you. Feels like a beautiful, personal, old country house, with so much class and character, and with the most amazing food and drink. As you can arrange to have the place to yourself, it's also perfect for a more personalized wedding party. I couldn't recommend it more. (Have also been for weekends away here - equally magical). Thank you and good luck Longueville!"

“We got married at Longueville House last week and it was perfect. Longueville is an idyllic country setting in the Blackwater valley, with stunning views and beautiful grounds which were great for an outdoor champagne reception with lively jazz, for formal and informal wedding photos and for children to explore and play. The house itself is grand yet welcoming, homely and relaxed. The conservatory was the perfect place for the wedding dinner and speeches, with views outside, and inside decorated to perfection. The food and wine at Longueville were beyond compare, William O'Callaghan is a culinary genius with his fresh produce from the farm. The service really made the whole experience for us and for our guests. Everybody spoke about how well looked after we all were, the staff (especially Evelyn who organised everything so well) were truly incredible, anticipating our every need and being so friendly and professional. We really could not have asked for a better wedding venue in terms of value for money, location, setting, food, wine and the staff at Longueville, and would recommend it to anyone as a perfect wedding venue”.

“Everything was just so perfect from the food, wine, venue, accommodation etc. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we had the most perfect venue ever. The breakfast, the gardens, the DOGS!!!! I don't know where to stop.
We would highly recommend Longueville as a wedding venue as would all our guests who have raved about the place all weekend”.

“We've stayed at Longueville a number of times over the last few years and are never left wanting. The staff are second to none and bring out the best in Longueville. Longueville is not the location for swimming pools and golf courses. It is for relaxing in mature surroundings with incredible food.
We loved the place so much, we decided to get married there. Our family and friends couldn't say enough about the place. We took over Longueville for a couple of days and it was like our home. Longueville does not have any stuffy elements to it.
Easily our favourite location!”

“A big thank you to you, Aisling, William, Donald, and all the staff at Longueville for making our weekend and special day, so memorable! Everyone was blown away by every aspect of the Wedding, from the setting, to their rooms, the service, the food, the ceremony to sum up what everyone says - 'best wedding ever!"

“We want to thank you for making our Wedding a really wonderful occasion for us and our guests. We have lots of great memories from the day and beautiful photographs set in the house and grounds. One of the highlights of the day for us both was the ceremony. The room looked so elegant and full of natural light and it made a perfect setting for the occasion. We really appreciate all the extra work on your part to accommodate the ceremony in the house - it felt extremely special. The food was also as excellent as we had expected, lots of our guests have mentioned to us how good it was. My family also said how much they enjoyed their meal on the Saturday night in the Chinese Room. Many thanks again to you and all the staff who worked on the day for the excellent service, and to Evelyn for all her help in the lead up. Longueville House is a very special place, we hope to return before too long!”

“We both had an amazing day. It really could not have been better. Everyone was delighted they are still talking about your friendly staff, amazing food, location (for some of the photos you would swear we were in Tuscany wow) and of course the weather that ye arranged). We could not fault anything. Downstairs worked so well I really can't believe the space. Our Guests had an amazing time and said it was the best wedding they ever had been too. We have had so many thank you cards from people. My Mum and Dad had a super day they were so proud they are still chatting about how fabulous the day went. Darragh and myself will not be strangers. We did travel around Ireland after the wedding to a few other country houses and we have to admit Longueville is still Tops for us”.
